The Pentagon is reportedly in “absolute disarray” as senior military officials scramble in response to incoming President Donald Trump’s plans to purge top brass who pushed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies. According to multiple sources, Trump’s transition team is focusing on a sweeping overhaul of military leadership, with a particular emphasis on removing officers who promoted what some describe as a “woke” ideology that has allegedly undermined the military’s primary mission of defending the nation.
Sources say the Pentagon is in crisis mode, with generals and other senior military officers nervously trying to determine whether they’ll be among those targeted for removal, and scrubbing evidence of participation in the practices that will be targeted by the second Trump administration. “DEI pages are starting to disappear off the main websites. They’re being archived as we speak,” one insider said, describing the chaos. “They are full-bore focused on cleaning up anything DEI-related.”
At the heart of this impending shake-up is an executive order drafted by Trump’s transition team, aimed at reorienting the U.S. military away from progressive policies and back to a focus on combat readiness and national defense. Sources familiar with the plan told Breitbart News that the EO is expected to be presented to President Trump within the first week he takes office.
“This is for real. This [EO] has made the cut,” one source said, adding that the executive order is likely still undergoing final revisions. The EO is expected to create a panel that will recommend the removal of senior military officers who have aggressively pushed DEI agendas at the expense of military preparedness.
Retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Pete “Doc” Chambers, a vocal advocate for military personnel and a critic of woke policies, is one of the whistleblowers reportedly helping the Trump transition team gather information on senior officers who championed DEI. Chambers, who served for nearly four decades in the Army, has been outspoken in his criticism of how DEI policies have been imposed on the military.
Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Samuel Shoemate, who gained attention for his whistleblowing efforts related to the military’s handling of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, is now focusing on the military’s DEI initiatives. He told Breitbart, “We’re looking for those who have aggressively pursued DEI policies and then, and then potentially been the worst about retaliation against troops for the COVID mandate and stuff like that.”
Supporters of Trump’s planned purge see the DEI policies as a growing “cancer” within the military that has distracted from its primary mission, and ultimately made our military, and our nation, weaker. According to these critics, the focus on diversity and inclusion has compromised recruitment, retention, and promotions, with certain officers pushing personal ideologies rather than preparing their forces for combat.
In particular, critics point to the promotion of individuals who have used their power to push these policies, making it harder for qualified service members to advance in their careers if they do not align with these values.
“The purpose of the [executive order] is to restore the military leadership focus on keeping the country safe and, when necessary, fighting the country’s wars,” one source familiar with the plan said. “Not these extraneous factors like ‘white rage’ and gender identity.” The insider also suggested that the DEI policies had contributed to serious challenges in military recruitment, with many potential recruits discouraged by the perceived focus on political correctness rather than military readiness.
Among the most prominent figures reportedly on the chopping block is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Charles “CQ” Brown. Brown has been a vocal proponent of DEI initiatives during his tenure and is seen by critics as one of the leading advocates for the implementation of progressive policies within the military. “Trump’s taking out the chairman. That’s gonna happen,” Shoemate told Breitbart.

It seems the actual damage that can be seen by these political operatives when a party leaves the White House, and the President wants to implant his people to disrupt a new administration which actually happened during the Trump new administration in 2016. It is no surprise that Biden is moving to implant another possible 3,000 names to that list makes it imperative that Trump seek remedies to thwart that process. The Government in general is way too big, it is time that the American people who pay for all these Federal employees through our taxes have a say into shrinking government. This election gave #47 the American peoples support in going for the jugular in fixing what has been going on for the last four years in mismanagement of the Biden administrations Democratic rule. We certainly don’t want their evil policies infused in the burrowed switch from political employees to permanent Civil Servants.
As a veteran I am not a casual observer to what’s been going on with our military. Since the Biden Administration seems to have pushed the progressive DEI positions it took, the military leadership had to confirm or denied its implementation. The vast overreach that was seen almost overnight and within the four years of the Biden administration, had to be passed down from the Joint Chiefs of Staff in all branches of our military. I know for one, I would not want to be serving with a male who thought he was a female, call me what you will, I perceive it as wacky to say the least, that person should go see a shrink not be in the military when the time comes you need to know the person on either side of you is strong can do the job of fighting ones enemies. The fact that so many individuals who have now been admitted into the military with issues which can in the world be known as perversion just does not normally fly within the miliary circles. To be told you must adhere to policies that go against your moral beliefs just makes being in the military not the ideal philosophy. The Generals and Admirals who cow towed with Biden pushing this negative agenda need to be removed and if need be, bring back from retirement some fire breathing Generals and Admirals who were fired by Obama and Biden because of these issues.
