A constitutional lawyer is calling a diversity internship NASCAR offers “blatantly illegal.” The paid internship provided by the motorsports giant bans white applicants based on their race.
NASCAR’s website outlines the racial requirements applicants must meet in order to be considered.

The first bullet point listed under the heading “Program Requirements” reads “Be a member of one or more of the following races/ethnic minority classifications: Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Latino or Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.”
David Bernstein, a professor at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia School of Law, told The Daily Wire that NASCAR’s racially discriminatory program is “blatantly illegal,” noting that it would “seem to violate Title VII and the 1866 Civil Rights Act.”
“Having a 100% quota for minorities for a position is illegal even under a very generous view of what is allowed,” Bernstein said, adding that a potential applicant who was unable to apply on the basis of his or her race would have legal standing to sue the company.
NASCAR’s diversity internship program appears to be part of a broader company campaign called “Drive for Diversity,” which also includes race-based mentorship programs.
Diversity initiatives solely reserved for women and minorities include the “Pit Crew Development Program” for aspiring NASCAR pit crew members. Additionally, the “Driver Development Program” provides “coaching, membership, and development” for female and minority drivers.

Kinda’ hated to see Bud Light/Anhauser-Busch go down the drain too. But only due to the nostalgia aspect. Other than that, they got (and are still getting) what they totally deserve.

I told my buddy years ago that we need an all white pro basketball league. He laughed and said, “good luck”. I said, put 7 white guys on every bench( 2 for potential injuries) and instead of “let ‘em play”, the popular euphemism for call no fouls ghetto ball, enforce the actual rules and voila before the end of the 1st qtr…you got all white basketball.
That’s freakin’ great. I just start becoming a NASCAR fan just over a year ago, and already this is the second time they make news by bending over to the anti awake PC crowd. I’m done. My buddies may kiss off NASCAR as well because they see & hear as much as many of us have. America, land of elitists and missed opportunities.
