Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy and his wife, Fox Business Capitol Hill Correspondent Hillary Vaughn, have welcomed their second child, a son named George Jack Doocy.
George was born on April 16, coinciding with the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary. Doocy shared the announcement on social media, noting that Vaughn endured 30 hours of labor before delivering their son, who weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds, 11 ounces.
In a lighthearted comment, Doocy thanked his newborn for ensuring he would always remember to pick up an anniversary card while buying birthday presents in the future.
Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of @hillary__vaughn labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5”- on our 4th wedding anniversary. So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you! https://t.co/LDclt2JCSa

The couple’s first child, Bridget Blake Doocy, now two years old, was born in February 2023. According to Doocy, Bridget was eager to embrace her role as a big sister and had practiced extensively to sing “Happy Birthday” for her new sibling.
Vaughn recounted that she had been covering the Internal Revenue Service when a routine OB-GYN visit revealed she was in labor. “Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes. I don’t blame him,” she quipped.
“It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,” Vaughn told People magazine. “Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
Peter, 37, echoes his wife’s sentiments, and also reveals to PEOPLE that Bridget was “the person who came closest to guessing when George would arrive.” He adds that George’s excited big sister “was also the first person to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him in the hospital.”
Peter also notes that George was born on his and Vaughn’s four-year wedding anniversary. “Thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to pick up a card for Hillary, when I’m picking out a birthday card for you,” he confesses.
Steve Doocy, Peter’s father and co-host of “Fox & Friends,” expressed his excitement about his new grandson. In an interview with People, he emphasized the strong, unique bond between grandparents and grandchildren, highlighting the joy and unconditional love that comes with it.
In the meantime, the family is celebrating the arrival of little George, doing their best to ensure his first hectic weeks outside the womb are filled with excitement, gratitude and unshakable family bonds.
