ABC has suspended “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg for comments many have called anti-Semitic.
Goldberg erroneously claimed that the Holocaust was “not about race.” Between 1941-1945, the Nazis and their collaborators murdered six million Jews out of discrimination and hatred for being, in their abhorrent view, an inferior race.
The Daily Wire reports:
“Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments. While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends and communities,” ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a statement.
Here is what Ms. Goldberg said:
Goldberg sparked the controversy during Monday’s broadcast during a discussion about the graphic novel “Maus” when she claimed that the Holocaust was “not about race,” because the Nazis and the Jews were both white. She asserted that “man’s inhumanity to man” was the real issue.
Her remarks prompted an immediate response from her cohosts — Joy Behar pointed out the fact that the Nazis had also gone after black people and had considered the Jews to be a different race, and Ana Navarro argued that the Nazis had been white supremacists who also rounded up gypsies and other groups in addition to the Jews.
Goldberg attempted to clear things up with a tweeted apology and an appearance with late night host Stephen Colbert, but she seemed to only dig the hole deeper.

Recently, Goldberg claimed that, “Black people haven’t made any progress in this country in the last 250 years….” If that were true, she would’nt be the, “rich, famous movie/tv star” she is today; she would be,” washing, cleaning, cooking, & scrubbing” her white master’s house from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, maybe even warming her master’s bed on cold winter nights. She would be, ” working in the the sugar cane fields, cotton fields, tobbaco fields,” etc., from sunrise to sunset in the hot, blazing sun, instead of a “cool, air-conditioned studio” with all the comforts of home. Instead of living in a $25 million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills, she would be living in a, “run-down, drafty old barn”, with no heat in the winter-other than a cooking fire-or running water in the summertime, if, “black people had’nt made any progress in the last 250 years” in this country..! Just WHAT is her idea of, “progress”?
