Chemical abortions sound simple to desperate and vulnerable women. You take two pills and in a matter of hours, you’re no longer pregnant.
With new marketing tactics like mail-order abortion pills, this method is all the rage. According to the Guttmacher Institute, “Medication abortion accounted for more than one-third (39%) of all abortions in the United States in 2017.”
However, the federal government and other pro-abortion advocates are disregarding evidence of severe and irreversible health risks.
The reliability and comfort of the abortion pill enable a promiscuous lifestyle. Men and women no longer have to live with the consequences of their actions. This fuels instant gratification, which provides short-lived pleasure and tends to reap terrible consequences.
This cycle is similar to other modern vices. The list stretches from porn addictions and online dating to social media and simply ordering food, all in a few quick taps. Instant gratification is part of mainstream culture, but these services are not as beneficial as institutions market them to be.
While modern technology has fueled our society and saved millions of lives, it has also caused unprecedented damage. The young generations, specifically in America, have little self-discipline or moral value. As a member of this generation, I gladly attest that there is a significant population who do not fall into this category.
Still, the prevalent number who do are undeniable, and so are those who disagree with them yet fail to speak up. Both parties are complicit in fueling the growing fire of institutions that are working against us.
With regard to the abortion pill, creating an on-demand system allows younger and more vulnerable women to be targeted by the abortion industry. Planned Parenthood and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are two major players in this new ploy. By providing mail-order abortion pills, providers reduce the number of steps, and therein the consideration needed to schedule an abortion.
Now, women can kill their children from the comfort of their own homes. Without going to a clinic, speaking to a health professional, or understanding the drastic risks of the procedure.
As I previously reported for ALN, “After taking the drugs, the pregnant woman experiences severe cramping, contractions and bleeding to expel her dead child, which she disposes of by flushing down the toilet. Symptoms, including bleeding, abdominal pain, and nausea may continue for weeks. The procedure may lead to maternal death.”
Chemical abortions have accounted for 26 known deaths. Although, this number and the number of adverse effects is severely underreported, and intentionally so.
When current FDA head Robert Califf led the organization during the Obama administration, he removed the requirement for abortion providers to report adverse effects from the abortion pill. This decision was made in spite of a 500% increase in emergency room visits after chemical abortions, since the early 2000s.
Now, the FDA is lifting regulations on mail-order abortion pills. With Califf newly reappointed to lead the organization, his track records suggest he will support these programs and continue lifting federal regulations.
A new generation of women is being exploited by the abortion industry, and a piece of the next generation will be lost because of it.
However, the pro-life movement is alive and well like never before. Our momentum is illustrated in legal wins, relentless advocacy, and unprecedented anti-abortion support.
Pro-abortionists coined 2021 as “the worst year for abortion rights” and Democrats are eager to implant a “federal right to abortion” as they fear Roe v. Wade will be overturned this year.
Here’s to protecting the most innocent and building a post-Roe America.

Sen. Ruben Gallego Moves to Challenge Trump Green Card Policy
Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.
According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.
The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.
