Brian Stelter Names Most ‘Biased’ News Hosts Before Making Laughable Claim About CNN

He can’t be serious…

Former CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter named the most biased hosts at Fox News and MSNBC during an appearance on NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live before claiming there wasn’t anyone to name at his own former network known for its biased reporting.

Stelter, who was fired from CNN last year, was known for his anti-Republican views on the network and often criticized rival network Fox News. (RELATED: CNN President Announces New On-Air Talent Amid Network Purge)

NewsNation host Dan Abrams questioned, “Who do you think is the most partisan or most detached from reality on Fox News?” Stelter replied:

Maria Bartiromo. I focus on her in the book because she’s the first person that started smearing those voting technology companies, even days before Trump did it after the 2020 election. It was Maria Bartiromo. I think she was afraid of him losing, afraid of losing her access to the president. When Trump lost, she lost too.

Abrams weighed in, “It’s kind of wild what’s gone on with Maria Bartiromo. I mean, the evolution of her from star business reporter to now being kind of fringe player.”

“Fringe player, except a lot of MAGA voters really believe in her and her propaganda is embraced by those voters,” Stelter argued. “That’s what’s frustrating about Fox. There should be more real reporting and fewer of those opinion hours, in my humble opinion.”

Next, Abrams asked Stelter to name the most biased host on MSNBC.

I was on Joy Reid’s show last week. The segment before me, the banner was “Trump’s authoritarian streak.” I happen to agree Trump has an authoritarian streak, but I think she comes with a very clear point of view. I don’t think it’s a bias, I think it’s a point of view, a perspective, just like you.

Abrams’ final question, “Do you think that there are any people on CNN who are overtly biased?” resulted in a shockingly different answer from Stelter.

“I really, truly don’t, and they fired me! And I’m telling you, I really, truly don’t,” he insisted.
