The gruesome fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee on a commuter train in Charlotte, N.C., is just the proverbial “tip of the iceberg” in what may be a growing violent crime phenomenon, which may be troublesome for gun control proponents because these attacks demonstrate that evil people, not guns, are responsible.

Brutally murdered in Charlotte was Iryna Zarutska, 23. Her slaying was captured by a security camera and it has become national news. The BBC is reporting how the murder has “sparked ongoing concerns about crime in the U.S.”
A writer at the Free Press is reporting that “a number of Wikipedia editors don’t want you to know about the attack. Since the online encyclopedia’s article “Killing of Iryna Zarutska” was created on Saturday, Wikipedia editors have fought to have it deleted.”
But the Zarutska case is not the only stabbing incident around the country which should be raising alarms, while also signaling that violent criminals don’t need guns to cause mayhem. Yet, there really has been no discussion acknowledging that guns and the Second Amendment really aren’t the problem. Some Republican lawmakers may have partly figured things out. According to Fox News, “Republican members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation are calling for the removal of a state judge who released a man now accused of stabbing (Zarutska) to death…”
Elsewhere around the country, fatal stabbings have made local headlines, while the establishment media has yet to figure out what these attacks mean.
In Oklahoma City, KOKH News is reporting that police have identified the victim of a deadly stabbing back on Aug. 23, one day after the Charlotte murder. The victim in Oklahoma City was Cerise Lewis, 34, who was stabbed multiple times at a transient camp, the report said. There have been no arrests so far.
In Colorado Springs, Colo., police have identified 48-year-old Daniel Parsons as the victim of a fatal stabbing at the city’s Monument Valley Park, Sept. 4. According to KKTV News, a suspect in this murder has also not been identified.
Down in Orlando, Fla., police have arrested a suspect identified as Jason Wilfredo Rosario, aka “Joc Hip Hop,” in the stabbing of a man outside of a local establishment on Aug. 31. The victim survived the attack and identified Rosario as the suspect, the report at WESH said. The stabbing victim suffered wounds to the head, face and back.
Apparently not to be outdone, police and sheriff’s deputies in and around Seattle, Wash., are investigating two stabbings in recent days. According to KCPQ News, law enforcement is looking for a suspect in a stabbing in Burien, a Seattle suburb, Monday. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
In a separate report, KCPQ said Seattle police are also investigating a stabbing in the city’s International District which sent the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Police have the suspect in custody.
Police in Portland, Ore., are investigating the fatal stabbing of Juan Carlos Vega-Matute back in mid-July. The suspect in this slaying is identified as Juan Jose Olguin, a Portland resident. He is being held on a charge of second-degree murder.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump weighed in on the Charlotte slaying, observing Monday, “There are evil people. We have to be able to handle that. If we don’t handle that, we don’t have a country.”

Dave – good job of pointing out the obvious that it is NOT the tool used, it is the evil person wielding it that is the problem and that there is no way that a solution can be achieved until the anti gun crowd acknowledges that murder mayhem is a ‘heart’ problem, not a hardware problem.
Recently, in a NYC home for senior citizens, a woman, 95 years old, in a wheelchair, killed a fellow patient, aged 89 ! The really weird thing is that she used the wheelchair or a piece of it, as a weapon. My point is: so what are we going to do….outlaw wheelchairs ?!?}
