Senator Promises to Introduce Legislation to Abolish Biden’s Disinformation Board

-

Not content to wait for Election Day, one U.S. senator wants to begin dismantling the Democrats' radical plans right away.

Sen. (R-Mo.) announced Monday that he plans to introduce legislation to abolish Homeland Security's .

DHS Secretary announced the Orewillean idea last week. Mayorkas' statement came two days after purchased .

Between Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and other Republicans, Josh Hawley emerged as one of the strongest critics of the 's new mission to police free speech.

In a letter to Mayorkas, Hawley wrote, in part:

“I confess, I at first thought this announcement was satire. Surely, no American administration would ever use the power of government to sit in judgment on the First Amendment speech of its own citizens,” Hawley wrote. “Sadly, I was mistaken. Rather than protecting our border or the American homeland, you have chosen to make policing Americans' speech your priority. This new board is most certainly unconstitutional and should be dissolved immediately.”

Now Hawley is committing to doing precisely that.

The Daily Wire further reports:

Musk himself called the proposed board “discomforting” in a reply to conservative comedian Steven Crowder, who tweeted Thursday. “The government is creating a misinformation governance board. Who else did something like that? Oh I remember, the Nazi's [sic]. And there's some data showing some interesting things going on post-[Elon Musk]'s Twitter takeover!”

The board will be headed by , who formerly worked as a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center and will act as executive director. She has not responded to requests for comment from The Daily Wire.

Jankowicz previously referred to Hunter Biden's laptop as a “Trump campaign product,” the Washington Examiner reports, suggesting that it was a “Russian influence op.” She has since said the tweet was “simply a direct quote from both candidates during the final presidential debate.”

Besides the fact she has the poorly conceived title of disinformation czar, Jankowicz further undermined her credibility as a political hack and unserious person in unearthed videos posted to social :

  1. Isn’t it interesting that Majorkas, a Cuban refugee, should head up a misinformation bureau. I wonder if the blueprint for this op came from the Cuban government?

  2. There is NO constitutional basis for the “New Board.” As far as we know, there is NO funding for this new boards by Congress. There is NO accurate definition of what constitutes “Disinformation”. There is NO constitutional basis to define what power this board might have, nor any means of enforcing a decision by such a board.
The worst part is that the Biden team has selected

  3. The worst part is that the Biden team has selected a person (Nina Jankowicz) who is totally unqualified to lead such a board, since she has shown a propensity to be a spreader of disinformation herself!!
