Trump Embraces Risky Strategy, Intensifies Attacks On DeSantis

-

Why is the attacking Governor ?

DeSantis has not even formally declared his candidacy for president, but yet, the Trump-supporting PAC has launched a $1.5 million attempt to discredit our nation's leading conservative governor. There is only one reason for this early expenditure. DeSantis has widespread support!

These commercials are going to backfire on Trump. Why???

First, Republicans know that we are in a must-win situation. We need to nominate the conservative who has the best chance of winning the White House. So GOP voters are not going to embrace this nastiness on DeSantis, who has a strong record and has the likability factor needed to win in November. Second, DeSantis has a proven track record. He's no Jeb Bush. The American Conservative Union, the National Federation of Independent Business and Citizens Against Waste to name a few organizations all give him perfect ratings. Moreover, we have all witnessed him taking on the , big tech and even woke Disney. People have moved in droves to due to his leadership. We would all love a free Florida agenda nationwide.

Third, this expenditure opens the door for DeSantis supporters to fire back. Why did Trump hire RINO Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff? Why did his attorney generals fail? Why didn't we lock up Hillary? Why didn't Trump fire Fauci? (RELATED: Should This Decision Disqualify Trump In 2024?)

Furthermore, why did the Trump PAC basically sit out the 2022 elections? According to OpenSecrets.org, the PAC spent a total of $28 million during the last election cycle, but the money did not go to help the GOP ticket. Here are the top five expenditures:

Accountants, compliance & legal$16,502,737
Administrative data and technology$1,155,886
Campaign strategy and communications consulting$6,039,476
Administrative travel & lodging$928,951
Rent & office expenses$653,198

Someone is benefitting, but it is not GOP candidates. In fact, there were no direct contributions to candidates. Aren't we all in this together? Why was that money not used to help make sure there was a red wave in 2022?

In 2024 we need to paint the White House red, but spilling blood now doesn't help set the stage for victory. As they say, make sure attacks are not shaped like a boomerang.\

  1. “DeSantis has a proven track record.” Who was recently hoodwinked by Disney, and their entire ‘bold move’ against the media giant was negated? I think the jury is still out on the proven track record thing. Now, in the case of Donald J Trump his four years of accomplishment in office could actually be described as a PROVEN TRACK RECORD. I just want to know who it is that is paying for Ron’s campaign.

    • I believe we have a very corrupt leadership in our Republican Party. The RNC along with way too many Rinos do not respect President Trump (my President), and that’s why they spent too much money on other craps issues instead of using that money to increase our chances of winning the Senate and many more seats in Congress in the 22 election. Donald J Trump is the one and only man or woman that can save our Country from the Communist Running the Democratic Party. My message to President Trump, stop fighting against each other and pound the living hell out of the filthy, lying, failing and corrupt Democrats.

    • If they wind up running against each other, they’re going to have to duke it out. May the best man win. Right now that man is Donald Trump. We don’t just need to win, we need ‘retribution’. For a good many reasons. And Trump is the only one of the two who will bring it.

      • I love Donald Trump BUT he needs to stop the DeSantis attacks. It makes him, Donald, look scared.

  2. Mr. Trump should concentrate on MAGA and not stoop to smearing other Republicans. DeSantis has been his friend. If he does stoop to such protozoan tactics I may still vote for him, we shall see, however he will tarnish and diminish himself in my eyes. One can succeed by promoting positive goals without engaging in mudslinging. There are enough DemoCreeps at which to sling mud.
