FBI Director Breaks Silence Following Mar-a-Lago Raid

-

Director has spoken publicly for the first time following Monday's nine-hour raid on where agents retrieved several boxes of presidential documents.

The New York Post has more on Wray's comments — condemning violence and threats of violence against :

FBI Director Christopher Wray decried what he called “deplorable and dangerous” threats against law enforcement in his first public comments since Monday's unprecedented raid on former President 's residence.

“I'm always concerned about threats to law enforcement,” Wray told reporters Wednesday following a visit to the FBI's field office in Omaha, Neb. “Violence against law enforcement is not the answer, no matter who you're upset with.”

Wray – who was appointed by Trump to lead the bureau in 2017 – declined to answer questions about Monday's search.

The investigation involves the handling of presidential documents, including classified documents, that may have been brought to Mar-a-Lago.

According to two senior sources, Wray approved the search at Trump's primary residence. The sources, quoted in a Newsweek article by William M. Arkin, claimed Attorney General had “no prior knowledge” of the raid.

A short time after Wray's comments, an armed suspect tried to break into the FBI's Cincinnati office, leading to a police pursuit to nearby Clinton County and shots fired. (RELATED: Man Attacks FBI Building in Ohio)

The situation with the armed subject is still unfolding.

The FBI is calling it a “critical incident.”

  1. Wray should be ashamed of himself and not prancing around in public with his famous smirk on his face. He WON’T have the last word!!

      • Hard to know who;’s who ‘ in ‘The Club’ , remember Trump said . ‘ There’s A Lot of Bad Actors Out There! ‘ . ‘The Club’ includes Hollywood ; if you don’t occasionally speak up in support of their efforts in derailing the USA , one doesn’t get work as an actor . Anyone can see who speaks FOR America & Americans .

    • Marching in step with Little Darlin’ , Adam Schiftless again , with non-existent insiders and/or whistleblowers .

  2. Wray played the victim card. If he REALLY was concerned about protecting law enforcement he’d provide the answers to all the questions that have been asked about this very aggressive and unprecedented act. The fact that he has not only suggests that what they have done every bit as abusive, tyrannical, and corrupt as people imagine it to be.

      • They are more about injustice than investigation. Perhaps that is what the “I” stands for these days in “FBI”.

  3. Hmmmm. What are the odds all those boxes taken under the premise of “National Archives” end up with the Jan 6th committee or the NY AG?

  4. I’m more concerned about Wray and Garland being corrupt government officials. They should be removed from office.

  5. Careful. do not be an explosive “Sonny” (The Godfather) racing to the toll booth where the machine guns are waiting. Remain cool headed and compose your words for Representatives, Senators, and the media open to comment.

  6. More non-existent whistleblowers & ‘Insiders’, with Schiftless at the helm of this latest kangarooski court – with No Discovery Motions being Allowed . How freaking obvious – Again .

    • Well why didn’t they do something with all the Blm and antifa mob abusing law enforcement just a clown show

  7. What happened to president Trump is shameful! I truly pray that Trump runs again and if I was a Democrat I would ask for forgiveness for voting for Biden!

  8. When the the law enforcement personnel act more like the criminals they work for, they should expect push back, and some of it deadly.

  9. This jacka$$ ALLOWED AND ENCOURAGED violence against law enforcement for over 2 years in places like Portland, Seattle and chicago.

  10. Just how important could any of those “classified” papers be since they’ve been boxed up for more than 20 months? This is all political and to think otherwise is foolish. Just why are the left wing democrats so afraid of Trump that they will do anything, legal or otherwise, to try and pin something on him?
