The FBI secured two life sentences against convicted child predators in the same week for the first time in the history of an FBI field office, according to a report from The Daily Wire.
The two cases involved horrific crimes against children, including one predator who allegedly used an autism-focused nonprofit to gain access to vulnerable minors and another who ran a nationwide sextortion scheme targeting dozens of children.
FBI Director Kash Patel told The Daily Wire that the bureau has intensified its efforts against child exploitation.

A Fox News panel was visibly taken aback Saturday night after former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro floated a startling theory about the silence surrounding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
Mauro suggested that the suspected kidnappers’ lack of communication — including no proof of life — may be intentional, not accidental. He argued the suspects could be avoiding contact because they can’t provide proof, forcing them to “play games” and stall.
“Well, you’re elusive on the communications because you know you’re going to be asked for proof of life that you can’t provide,” Mauro said, underscoring the gravity of his theory.
Mauro’s proof-of-life theory appeared to leave “The Big Weekend Show” co-hosts Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren momentarily speechless.
“Emmmm,” Jones could be heard groaning off camera. And Lahren sounded like she sighed “Christ” after hearing it.
Mauro — who is a Fox News contributor who routinely provides analysis on crime stories — continued:
I feel like they’ve been playing games with the details in the house and all of that.
They probably planned for the idea that they could provide proof of life, and now they find themselves in a spot where, we can’t. And so what do we do? Now we gotta bargain for something else. We gotta bargain to give back something else.
He emphasized that his theory was based on limited information and said he was “hoping against hope I’m wrong.”
The comments came as Guthrie’s children released a new video pleading for their mother’s safe return nearly a week after she vanished from her Tucson home. Investigators say the case remains active, with the FBI involved and blood matching Guthrie’s DNA found at the scene.
As the investigation continues, law enforcement analysts remain divided about what may have happened — underscoring the uncertainty surrounding one of the most closely watched missing person cases in recent memory.

If the kidnappers can’t provide evidence of life, that probably indicates that Nancy is no longer alive. In that case, a ransom should not be paid. This refusal to provide evidence of life points to someone who is not very intelligent or experienced being behind this caper. Someone who doesn’t know the value of their only bargaining chip. It also means that once the kidnappers are caught, as I suspect they will be, they will, or should be, charged with murder.
