Shooting Reported Near Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade Route

Police are responding to a shooting near Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, where fans of the city's football team are celebrating their Super Bowl victory.

Multiple victims have been reported. Kansas City's KCTV5 reports 14 injured at the scene. A photojournalist for the station reported seeing medical care being administered to at least four people, including two who were receiving CPR.

At least one of the victims has died.

Cell phone video posted to X showed dozens of Kansas City Police Department vehicles rushing toward the direction of Union Station.

Two armed suspects were detained and taken into custody as officers cleared Union Station.

In addition to proving medical assistance, officers have begun reuniting family members who were separated during the chaos.

Authorities have ordered civilians to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid the station's parking garage so first responders can do their jobs.
