ANALYSIS – While this may not be the beginning of a trend, two persons with gender dysphoria, identifying as the opposite sex, have now committed or planned mass murder in the span of a week.
And both had Christian churches and schools in their crosshairs.
This certainly should spark concern.
It will also make the left and its apologist media apoplectic.
The mainstream liberal spin machine immediately swung into action, calling the bizarre and sudden rise of trans mass shooters a “baseless narrative.”
AP News quickly set the tone when it published “FACT FOCUS: No ‘incredible rise' in transgender shooters.”
ABC News used the AP hook to focus on mass shooters who weren't trans.
And The Washington Post went on the attack, headlining its story “The right exploits Nashville shooting to escalate anti-trans rhetoric.”
All the stories remind us that trans people are rarely the perpetrators of mass shootings, which are overwhelmingly carried out by ‘cisgender' (aka straight) men.
The fact that the entire leftist-fueled and fabricated trans explosion is a very recent phenomenon, and even now, self-described trans people are still a minuscule minority in America, is totally ignored.
Statistically, two trans persons involved in mass murder in one week is a big deal.
On April 6, reports The Epoch Times, charges were filed against a 19-year-old man, William Whitworth, who identifies as a woman and uses the name Lilly, after he allegedly planned to carry out mass shooting attacks on multiple schools in Colorado Springs.
The suspect allegedly confessed that he was planning on attacking Timberview Middle School, which he once attended, for “no specific reason,” as well as churches in the area.
His arrest follows an investigation into threats involving the schools in Colorado Springs Academy District 20, the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office said.
A spokesman for the District Attorney's Office said that Whitworth is in the process of ‘transitioning' to female.
Last week Nashville police revealed that the 28-year-old woman, Audrey Hale, who shot and killed six people, including three children at the Covenant School, identified as a transgender man who went by the male name Aiden.
She used he/him pronouns.
Hale had a detailed manifesto to attack the Christian academy and was killed by police after a shootout at the school.
GOP lawmakers pushed to have that murder spree labeled a federal ‘hate crime' since Hale targeted a Christian school. This would provide substantial federal resources to investigate the crime.
As I wrote earlier about the Covenant School massacre, the media's reporting is appalling and bizarre. After initially calling the shooter correctly, a woman:
…the media fell all over itself apologizing for its mistake and quickly began stealth editing its initial reports and started calling her a ‘transgender male' (which in most cases is actually a female claiming to be male).
It is now mostly downplaying the trans issue and the fact that she was being treated for 'emotional' issues.
And unlike the rhetoric often employed by Democrats after a shooter targets any minority community – like an LGBTQ club or killings simply in a neighborhood with a high number of Asian Americans – they aren't calling this a ‘hate crime.'
The left is usually very quick to identify any crime it can committed by white conservatives, MAGA Republicans or Donald Trump supporters.
Well, now we have a second trans mass murder suspect in less than a week.
It will be interesting to see if this develops into a trend and how the left and its media allies will try to spin their way out of the potential story of a new wave of murder rampages committed by transgender criminals, especially against Christians.
And how they will do mental and verbal somersaults trying to keep their pronouns straight.
