Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman sued to argue that mail-in ballots with an incorrect or missing date should be counted following a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling against them being included in the vote count.
In the federal lawsuit filed on Monday, the Pennsylvania lieutenant governor claimed that not counting the votes on the grounds of an issue with the date violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The complaint also argues rejecting the ballots violates the First and 14th Amendments.
Pennsylvania law requires voters to write the date on their ballot’s outer envelope when they return the ballot.

Democrats are traditionally much more likely to vote ahead of the election by mail, while Republicans are more likely to vote on Election Day. The race between Fetterman and Republican Mehmet Oz is expected to be one of the closest Senate races in the country and could determine which party will control a majority in the Senate.
Fetterman filed the lawsuit along with two Democrat voters and Senate and House Democrats’ campaign arms.
“The date on a mail ballot envelope thus has no bearing on a voter’s qualifications and serves no other purpose other than to erect barriers to qualified voters exercising their fundamental constitutional right to vote,” the complaint states.
More than 1 million mail-in and absentee ballots have already been turned in in Pennsylvania, according to The Associated Press.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled that any general election mail-in ballots with inaccurate or missing dates must be set aside and not counted by county boards of election.
The ruling is in accordance with a law allowing all voters in the key swing state to cast ballots by mail. It came as a blow to the Democratic Party-led Pennsylvania Department of State, which has insisted counties count ballots with inaccurate or missing dates.
Fetterman is facing off against Republican Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz in what will be one of the most closely-watched Senate races in the country. RealClearPolitics has rated the race a “toss up” but recent polls have indicated Oz widening his edge over Fetterman.

I think I understand his campaign strategy. Just yesterday, I saw an article where he said that he expects Republicans to show an initial win, but that Democrats would pull ahead once all of the absentee ballots are counted. And now, today, he wants to make sure all mail-in ballots, including those with a missing date, be counted.
It looks like his plan is to see how many ballots are needed to overcome the Republican lead, then to dump enough ballots in the mail late on election day to negate that lead. Democrats have been doing this for a long time.
If Democrats were actually competent at their jobs, they wouldn’t have to cheat to win. They would win based on their records.
Fetterman is basically admitting that either 1. His voters are too stupid to vote in the legal time allotted or 2. he wants some fake ballots added to the bunch AFTER he sees how far behind he is OR BOTH!
Anyone who can’t follow simple instructions on how to fill out a ballot can’t be trusted to correctly indicate their choices on said ballot!

Any federal court that rules on this is making a biased decision. It should be thrown out as the Pennsylvania supreme court has made their ruling. This is a STATE matter, not a federal one. Any honest person should know this is wrong.
Americans have a responsibility to vote but they also have a responsibility to do it correctly. If they can’t do that, then their vote shouldn’t count.
Rules are rules. What amazes me is all the ways the dumbocrats can find in order to cheat. How sad.
