Ringleaders Found Guilty in Whitmer Kidnapping Plot

-

After one jury deadlocked on reaching a verdict, a judge declared a mistrial for the two ringleaders in the plot to kidnap Gov. .

At their retrial today, a federal jury in Grand Rapids found both men, Barry Croft Jr., 46 and Daniel Harris, 24, guilty.

Both men were convicted on all counts and now face the possibility of life in .

Per The Detroit Free Press:

Fox and Croft were convicted of kidnapping conspiracy and conspiracy to possess weapons of mass destruction. Croft was convicted on an additional weapons charge.

The men were judged by a second, more diverse jury than in the first trial, which ended with no convictions for the government. Two men were acquitted in that trial and the jury deadlocked on charges against Fox and Croft Jr., triggering a mistrial that prompted the government to try again.

The historic case ends with four men going to prison, and two men going free, two years after the FBI arrested all six defendants on charges they plotted to kidnap the governor from her vacation home out of anger over her lockdown orders and mask mandates, and blow up a bridge near her home to slow down .

“This verdict brings important accountability for perpetrators of violence against public officials,” said former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan Barbara McQuade. “Bringing these plotters to justice will cause others to think twice before engaging in similar conduct in the future.”

  1. How in the hell can they be charged with possession of weapons of mass destruction? I don’t know what kind of weapons they had but I pretty damn sure they didn’t have a damn nuclear warhead! That leaves only one outlandish possibility, they could have had full auto Firearms and if the Feds are now calling a stupid FA firearm a weapon of mass destruction that’s the most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard! They are making crap up as they go along now. Well if that’s the way it is every democrat in congress should be charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction because their brains are so whacked out their thoughts and actions are extremely dangerous and destructive to the entire world.

  2. I understood this incident also involved the FBI as inciters? What is their culpability in this matter? Entertaining criminal thoughts is not a crime (I don’t believe) but to act on it is. So, were these two (I can’t say they were smart people) baited to commit a crime by an outside influence? If so, the crime as heinous as it suggests and although deserving of a severe penalty, should not deserve a a life sentence as they ‘may not’ have committed any action on the crime were they not ‘encouraged’ into it. Many people talk of transgressions but few act it out.
    Just my opinion

  3. How do you find anyone guilty in this plot with the exception of the FBI? All of those charged never committed one act of violence against the Governor. None of the weapons or “explosive” devices were assembled or purchased by the defendants. They were all provided by the FBI. Why is the FBI framing law abiding US citizens when they haven’t taken a single action against Antifa or BLM rioters?

    • Because that is all the FBI does now. They are the secret police of the Democrats and possible some of the RINO’s. All they do is take down conservatives and plant evidence when they can not find something on someone the democrats or Rino’s tell them to take down. So much corruption that the normal person does not believe it when he is told !!

  4. What a joke nobody tried to do anything to this thing it is a farce to try to bring her into the limelight nobody cares she is by far the last person anyone would go after
