Soros-Backed DA Victim Of Car Burglary In City She Declared ‘Safe’

An unidentified assailant merely burglarized her car. Auto theft (stealing or attempting to steal a motor vehicle) occurs 40 times a day in Oakland.

Price received widespread ridicule when she called the region under her office's jurisdiction “safe.”

Her progressive criminal justice reforms have resulted in skyrocketing crime but Price is still in office despite a recall effort after she had only held the position for six months following her election in 2022.

The Soros-backed district attorney had her work laptop stolen after a smash-and-grab involving her car which was parked outside a family justice center in Oakland on Friday at about 3:30 p.m. near 27th Street and Telegraph Avenue. It's not known what exactly was on the laptop that was taken.

According to ABC7, her bodyguard parked the $90,000 Tahoe SUV outside the building and when he returned, he found the windows smashed and the laptop gone.

Price was advised after the theft occurred to report the theft online to the police and wait for an officer to show up, according to the Daily Mail.

Local has chastised Price for not pursuing tougher penalties on repeat violent offenders. Speaking to ABC7, one former Alameda Country prosecutor called her policies “dangerous.”

“You actually felt that lives would be lost because of (Pamela) Price being elected?” ABC7's Dan Noyes asked ex-prosecutor Charly Weissenbach.

“I really did. And I hoped that I was being dramatic. I hoped that I was wrong. And now that her policies are playing out, I know that I wasn't,” she responded.
