There Is No Truth Because There Is No Honesty

Honesty as a public good is almost nonexistent these days. That isn't an indictment of human nature. Babies have innate goodness. The problem is far more nuanced and pervasive than that.

The honest man has not been found because the honest men and women have had their eyes and minds closed. Working hard, raising children, finishing college or trade school. Many men and women have been warfighters from Kennedy to Biden who recently, unashamedly, withdrew our warfighters from Afghanistan without thought or concern for the many Afghanis that were our allies for over 20 years and left behind billions of dollars' worth of American equipment to be foraged by the Taliban, Chinese and possibly Russian collaborators. He withdrew our warfighters without forethought of terror attacks, which killed 14 of our young warfighters and sought revenge by killing an innocent Afghan family.

Diogenes, a historical figure in search of an honest man, slept in a large clay wine jar. Did he find one in 323 B.C.E. remains unknown. The Bible apparently says that an Honest Man cannot have these traits, “haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among his brothers” (Exodus 16.4 ESV). Hmm, that reminds me of an individual with almost supreme power ruining our country and the world currently — I guess he's not our honest man.

Finally, the merciless and dangerous COVID-19 virus woke, literally and figuratively, us up to the fact that these dishonest men and women have been slowly, sneaking into our lives for decades by infiltrating our schools with a racist rendition of how being white is the precursor to racism and a never before accepted racist theory, CRT, reemerged from the crypt to be taught in our schools as gospel with many teachers professing that being white is a crime. The idiom CRT quickly spread throughout the educational strongholds of America especially in Democratic jurisdictions and states truly igniting racism not quelling it.

The search for the honest person continues but with the exposure of pedophilia in our major churches, with hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border of the United states every year, bringing opioids, fentanyl and other illicit drugs with them. How do we stop the destruction? These illegal immigrants are all victims of dishonest politicians and corrupt societies. The cartels force them to carry the drugs and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, head of DHS, continues to allow them into our country even though the Supreme Court has said to continue the Trump policy of turning them back to Mexico. This laissez-faire attitude has caused an astonishing rise in drug deaths along with a rise in human trafficking which is as lucrative an illegal import for cartels as drugs.

The rise of illicit fentanyl has jeopardized our law enforcement officers, children and even our household and emergency service animals. The incredible influx of drugs from China being distributed by the Mexican cartels through illegal border crossing has stressed our border agents to the limit and because many have been moved from enforcement to processing entering illegals our southern border is left open at many crossing point where caravans of cartel bandits smuggle thousands of drugs ranging from fentanyl to heroin into America. Many of these drugs look like and are packaged the same as over-the-counter medication. Personally, I have two children in college, in Texas, and I continually tell them, “These street drugs or even an innocent ibuprofen given to you by a friend could be deadly if you have no idea where it was purchased, if you take it you could die.” Life and death for America's youth is in jeopardy unless Sleepy Joe wakes up.

Our police are at a loss, their hands are tied by defund, don't shoot mantras and non-lethal weapons are now tagged as lethal. What can you do as a police officer with your hands tied behind your back and a gag in your mouth because if your misuse a pronoun you are charged with a misdemeanor by your department. You cannot do your job for fear of being charged with a crime for doing the job you love and were trained to do. Leaving the public with shrinking, less adept and less intelligent law enforcement due to lower hiring standards. Do you want a social worker at your door next time your house is burglarized, or you're robbed at gun point on the street or a cop that's been trained and has the know-how to handle these situations? East New York residents are begging Mayor Adams for the return of the NYPD Street Crime Unit, the most effective group of professional police officers to ever clean up crime in that area.

Have we found an honest man or women in our contemporary search? Probably. However, not deep within the bowels of our government. The integrity that Truman, Eisenhower and many others brought with them to the White House and the halls of Congress is gone. Today, the smell of venality permeates Washington from the White House to the Justice Department and conjoining with many of those who still dominate the Senate and control the House of Representatives. The reek of socio-communistic agendas to quasi-thug intervention from Justice leaves the honest with one choice to vote for in 2024. One choice for those who believe in the Constitution and in the Bill of Rights to save America. Diogenes would be disappointed in what our would has become!
