Crack A Cold One? Bud Light Returns To Twitter With New Ad.

-

is hoping millions of displeased customers are ready to forgive and forget.

The beer giant, still reeling from a sales decline after a marketing controversy involving transgender activist , has released a new ad, aimed at it bringing its longtime customer base back into the fold.

Meanwhile, CEO recently announced he's going on a listening tour to win back disgruntled customers.

Reaction on social suggests Whitworth has his work cut out for him, as Hot Air's Karen Townsend explains:

There was an abundance of disgruntled social media users weighing in. The Babylon Bee managing editor spoke for many on Twitter. The beer company is trying too hard. Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Ingersoll offered some advice.

I watched it several times. I kept thinking I must be missing the message. I don't think there is a message. It's just a beer commercial that looks a lot like clips from America's Funniest Videos. Is this enough to make former customers think it's time to buy Bud Light this weekend? I don't think so. You can substitute any beer can or bottle in that ad and it wouldn't matter. There is no message. It doesn't scream, “Please come back to Bud Light.” A 23-year-old created the Spuds MacKenzie campaign. Maybe Anheuser- Busch should get a few young guys together and let them do the next commercial.

Anheuser-Busch put out a press release Thursday explaining that singers and celebrities will make surprise appearances in upcoming commercials. Plus there will be chances to win tickets and money, too.

To boost the summertime campaign and hype up the coming NFL season, Bud Light has partnered with football stars Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Dak Prescott.

Will that be enough to end the crippling boycott? Tell us what you think in the comments below!

  1. No, this is not going to bring me, or anyone I know, back to Bud Light. My first thought when I saw this commercial was, “Is that what they think we’re like?” Do they not know a single person who lives outside NYC or LA, or any large liberal city? I found it insulting.

  2. IMO, This will not begin to end until the truth is finally revealed regarding the decades of corruption in this country, that has its tentacles into the leadership of all three branches of government, military, three letter agencies, public and higher education, big business, big pharmaceutical and those who compromised them. The genie is out of the bottle and can’t be put back in.

  3. Nothing less than a heartfelt apology and divorce from the alphabet set will placate the offended.

  4. What does it matter? AB isnt sorry for their actions. They are sorry it cost them money.

No matter what is being pushed by the media and Biden about being MAGA, most of us don’t care if anyone is trans, straight, black, white, of friggin purple! Live and let live.

What we are tired of is having an agenda shoved down or throats. We are tired of the special treatment extremely minority groups are receiving. If you want my respect, EARN IT! If you want to compete in this world, EARN IT! I personally treat everyone I meet according to the Constitution. Everyone has the same rights… from free speech to protecting themselves.

All companies need to stay out of politics. The motto…We will sell our products to everyone no matter your politics or gender identification. This is good advice. I will no longer buy Anheuser-Busch products, and my list is growing.

  5. suggestion to the ab/inbev upper management and marketing guru brain trust

    we are sorry.
    we were stupid.
    bygones.
    moveon.org.

of course, ab/inbev drinkers have moved on. . .to other products. the fragility of any brand has been exposed. you’d think that ‘corporate responsibility’ might take that into consideration. pity that reality isn’t ‘woke’ enough for these people.

  6. that singers and celebrities will make surprise appearances in upcoming commercials” hilarious yet shameful. more likely the ones they bring are less popular than their failing beer brands and even if they are popular shows BL and AH still are out of touch with people. they do not understand most people do not base their choice on some unknown or washed up singer / celebrity.

  7. mr. whitworth you and mr. mulvaney need to go out in woods together and get to know each other better I would have more respect for both on you. You have made your positions quite clear own it. me and others like me will do with out bud lite ,bud, AB . the rest of my drinking will be Miller time
