Things got heated on Fox News Wednesday when “The Five” co-hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jessica Tarlov erupted into a loud on-air clash over gun policy and political rhetoric.
The exchange quickly escalated, with both commentators talking over one another as tensions flared during the live segment — a moment that immediately drew attention from viewers and social media alike.
The dispute began after Gutfeld criticized what he described as liberal policies he blamed for rising crime and social disorder, asserting that progressive governance had contributed to harm in cities, and questioning whether there was political responsibility for violent incidents. Tarlov countered by focusing on gun violence and school shootings, arguing against changing gun laws as a response to such incidents, and challenging Gutfeld’s framing of public safety and policy.

“The only policies that lead to harm are Democrats. We don’t push trans. We don’t push no pass bail. We don’t push any of the stuff that, oh, 13 homeless in New York City,” Gutfeld said. “Was that a Republican issue or a Democrat issue? It’s because you guys didn’t have the balls to get those guys out of the cold, into shelters. Every single act of compassion you do leads to death.”
“You never change gun laws to school shootings. You never change gun laws. I’m sorry. No, no, baby, just little kids dead,” Tarlov said.
“Who is doing the shootings?” Gutfeld asked.
“That’s not true,” Tarlov shot back.
The exchange did not result in any immediate corrective statements from the network, but viewers on social media reacted strongly to the pair’s differing perspectives on guns, crime, and political accountability.

School shootings? There ARE already laws against guns in and around schools. No law will ever stop a crazy scumbag who wishes to shoot people at a school.

The only thing that stops the ‘bad guys’ who are in our ‘government’ ( and other deranged or otherwise evil people ) from taking over our government is that the people of our country DO have guns with which to stop such a thing from happening.
As I see it, many of the people in governmental positions who are against guns are those who want to do something against us ( such as to make us into a socialist/communist dictatorship ), but can’t because we ARE
armed.
The other people who are against guns are people who are fooled ( lied to ) by those anti-freedom people. Those people are called ‘useful idiots’.
Those people have to ‘get a life’ and wake up to the REAL situation!
Come for our guns and we WILL do as our Constitution allows. You libs shouldn’t want to have that happen! And you can be SURE that it will if you try to take away our Constitutional freedoms!
The only way to stop a ‘bad guy’ with a gun is a ‘good guy’ with a gun. That has been proven over and over and over.
