Donald Trump has always had a flair for the dramatic, and his Thanksgiving message this year was no exception. The president-elect used the holiday to blend a celebration of his historic comeback with a sharp critique of his political adversaries.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump expressed gratitude to all Americans, including his opponents, whom he dubbed the “Radical Left Lunatics.” He accused them of attempting—but ultimately failing—to harm the nation. The tone of his message was a nostalgic nod to his 2012 tweet, where he famously extended Thanksgiving wishes “to all—even the haters and losers!”
Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide…

Fresh off a decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump is wasting no time shaping his second term. After winning both the Electoral College and the popular vote, he joins the ranks of Grover Cleveland as the only president to serve nonconsecutive terms. Trump’s return to power has been marked by swift and bold actions, including a threat to impose tariffs on goods from China, Mexico and Canada—measures he framed as part of a strategy to combat drug trafficking.
On Wednesday, Trump highlighted discussions with Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announcing plans to close the U.S.-Mexico border to migration as part of a broader crackdown to stop the massive flow of street drugs into the United States.

Trump’s defiant tone—and undeniable results—stood in stark contrast to the outgoing President Joe Biden, who shared a stereotypical video message on Thanksgiving. “With hearts full of gratitude: Happy Thanksgiving, America,” Biden wrote, reflecting on the trust placed in him during his presidency. Earlier this year, Biden withdrew from the presidential race following a catastrophic debate performance against Trump.
With hearts full of gratitude: Happy Thanksgiving, America.

Meanwhile, as Trump looks ahead to his second term, his Thanksgiving message was a clear sign of his intent to make his comeback as unapologetically Trumpian as ever.
