During the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, & Health, President Joe Biden turned to thank former Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski for her work on the issues discussed during the event.
Walorski died in a car accident in her home state of Indiana earlier this year when she and two members of her staff – Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts – were conducting visits across her district during the August recess period.
As American Liberty News reported at the time:
“Jackie Walorski had represented Indiana’s 2nd District from 2013 until her untimely death at around 12:30 p.m. ET today.
According to reports, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 19 that killed four — including the representative.”
A tribute video to Walorski was also reportedly played at the event prior to Biden taking the stage.
