Biden Suffers First Primary Loss – To A Candidate No One Expected

Like , President Joseph Biden had a dominant showing on Super Tuesday – except for a notable stumble in one U.S. territory.

In the end, the obscure candidate, not Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips or even self-help guru Marianne Williamson, dealt the incumbent 81-year-old president an embarrassing, albeit symbolic defeat.

The upset came as such a surprise that even major outlets appeared unprepared for Palmer's win.

CNN posted a graphic that included photos of the other two Democratic candidates — President Biden and Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) — but a generic face for Palmer.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier was caught off guard as well, reading off the news alert as it came in: ‘We just have a call now in American Samoa. President Biden will lose to Jason Palmer, a self-described entrepreneur and investor.”

“I don't even know who Jason Palmer is. But he is now the winner,” Baier added.
