ANALYSIS – Just say no. Joe Biden and the left are masters at Orwellian doublespeak and flat-out lying. They call late-term abortion ‘reproductive health,' and now Biden is calling his policy of aiding and abetting undocumented migration – ‘border security.'
And he is shamelessly asking Congress to fund it. Congress must say no.
Thanks to Biden's horrendous immigration policies, more migrants were caught illegally crossing the border in September than ever before, and Biden just set the record for illegal crossings in a single fiscal year at 2.48 million (up from only 450,000 in former President Donald Trump's last year in office).
And Team Biden is insulting Congress and the American people with his latest deceptive ‘border security' budget request.
He is also insulting all the Democrat mayors of major cities such as New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Boston, and the Democrat governors of those states, who have repeatedly screamed ‘no more' at Biden because they can't cope with the massive flood of illegal immigrants in their communities.
As the Washington Examiner editorial board noted: “Nothing in Biden's plan is intended to slow illegal immigration.” It is also insulting to connect the budget request to money to help Israel defend its borders. As the Examiner explained:
This month, after a speech drawing on the war in Ukraine and the heinous terrorist attacks in Israel, Biden submitted his border bailout wish list to Congress, attached to money for Ukraine and Israel.
The White House fact sheet reads like a guide on “how to make the border crisis worse.” Biden wants to spend more on “additional grants to local governments and nonprofits to support the provision of temporary food, shelter, and other services for those recently released from DHS custody.” He wants money for “support for eligible arrivals, including services to successfully resettle in the United States.” And he wants “expansion of lawful pathways, including efforts to streamline the processing of eligible refugees and migrants.”
Nothing in Biden's plan is intended to slow illegal immigration. Every dime will throw gasoline onto the raging inferno of illegal immigration burning our national sovereignty at the southern border.
That Biden is trying to attach these border-weakening provisions in aid to Israel just after Israel suffered one of the worst violations of its borders in history is beyond tone-deaf.
So, when Democrats try to say Republicans are blocking Biden's request for border security funds, remind them that giving taxpayer-funded “grants …to support… temporary food, shelter and other services for those recently released from DHS custody” isn't border security.
Neither is “support for eligible arrivals, including services to successfully resettle in the United States” or the “expansion of lawful pathway[s]…[for] refugees and migrants.”
These are programs to help, enable and encourage illegal migration. And to reward it with taxpayer money. Calling it anything else is insulting, and the GOP congress must refuse to fund any of it.
As the Examiner concluded, Republicans should not give Biden one cent more to make illegal migration even worse.
