Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was on the receiving end of a cacophony of boos and calls to “retire” during a speech in Kentucky.
The harsh reception lasted the entirety of McConnell’s speech at the Fancy Farm picnic, a mainstay of Kentucky politics for activists on both sides of the aisle. While Democrats appeared to initiate and sustain the heckling, some conservative influencers giddily mocked the aging GOP leader.

McConnell, who is 81, made his 28th appearance at the event, which also featured Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) and his challenger, Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R).
The partisan atmosphere surrounding the competitive gubernatorial race spilled into McConnell’s speech, as members of the audience tried to disrupt his comments immediately after the senior senator took his place behind the microphone.
“Elaine and I are really excited to be back at Fancy Farm on behalf of the strongest Republican team we’ve ever run in our state,” McConnell declared in the Saturday speech, receiving a crescendo of boos from the audience, which included many Democrats. McConnell attended the event with his wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.
The crowd then loudly began chanting “retire!” as McConnell peppered his speech with shots at Beshear and other Democrats.
Undeterred by the response, the Kentucky Republican soldiered on, saying in part, “We’re up against the folks who gave you record-high inflation, we’re up against the folks who closed schools and then told you that teachers’ unions know what’s best for your kids, we’re up against folks who’d rather let repeat offenders walk free than get tough on crime.”
McConnell made international headlines two weeks ago when he stopped speaking abruptly during a press conference with members of the Senate GOP leadership. He remained silent for an extended period at the podium, appearing unable to resume talking.

ALL members of Congress – House and Senate that have been there more than 2 terms should be removed and replaced by Constitution believing Members.

Too often career politicians don’t want to rock the boat for worthy and much needed change! Many would ride that boat over a cliff to avoid necessary change to protect our Constitutional Republic. Those who stand for nothing, will fall for anything! Grow a pair of BALLS GOP elites!
