A new national poll reveals that Democrats overwhelmingly believe an array of debunked conspiracy theories and false news stories, and that belief in disinformation is rampant among MSNBC and CNN viewers and the college-educated.
The poll, conducted by WPA Intelligence and reported by Giancarlo Sopo, finds national news coverage and social media hoaxes have left many Democrats and liberals unable to distinguish fact from fantasy.
Many of the conspiracy theories and fake news stories revolve around Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
For example, 62 percent of CNN viewers, 67 percent of MSNBC viewers, 67 percent of Democrats, 68 percent of liberals and 74 percent of college-educated Democrat women believe DeSantis has made it illegal to say the word “gay” while inside in a Florida public school.
There is no such law.
But belief it exists is rampant due to false reports by liberal news outlets and videos posted by Florida Democrat lawmakers of themselves dancing erratically while shrieking “gay.”
WPA also found that 35 percent of Democrats, 33 percent of liberals, 39 percent of white Democrat women, 41 percent of MSNBC viewers and 44 percent of college-educated white Democrat women believe DeSantis requires all Florida college students and professors to “register their political views with the state.”
There is no such law.
The false claim, however, has been spread by CNN and MSNBC and social media activists, as liberals see DeSantis as a possible challenger to President Joe Biden in a 2024 race.
WPA also found 45 percent of liberals, 46 percent of MSNBC viewers, 51 percent of white Democrat women, 52 percent of Democrats and 54 percent of college-educated Democrat women believe the U.S. Supreme Court has outlawed all abortions nationwide.
Again, that is a false claim.
The Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson returned abortion to the states and did not outlaw it. No state has outlawed all abortions, and most pre-Dobbs abortions were carried out in states that maintain the same abortion access post-Dobbs.
Even belief in “stolen elections,” which Democrats and the media have sought to portray as a warning sign of “fascism” is rampant among Democrats and media viewers.
WPA found 40 percent of white Democrat women, 41 percent of college-educated Democrat women, 42 percent of liberals and 45 percent of Democrats believe “the 2016 election was stolen by Vladimir Putin and the Russians.”
Belief in the “stolen election” conspiracy theory was most prevalent among MSNBC viewers, at 47 percent.
Again, that is a false claim. No investigation, including a full criminal investigation by the FBI, found the election was “stolen” by Russians.
WPA also found considerable belief among liberals that “men can get pregnant,” a view rejected by scientists.
WPA’s polling found 21 percent of 2020 Biden voters, 22 percent of Democrats, 27 percent of liberals, 29 percent of white Democrat women and a stunning 36 percent of college-educated Democrat women believe “some men can get pregnant.” Despite claims by Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms that they censor and weed out political disinformation, there appears to be little effort to block or fact-check liberal disinformation, leaving Democrats increasingly unhinged and uninformed.

Some of the crap that Libs, Dems, College-educated men and especially women, believe is stunning. It’s no wonder so many of these morons continue to vote for Democrats. It would seem they would want to know the truth, but they are amazingly stuck on ignorant and stupid even when they are shown clear evidence and facts that contradict their beliefs.
Human nature prevents them from having to admit that they were wrong all along.
Never underestimate the ability of people to be stupid… and easily led. We’re in deep doodoo here, folks.
How did I know that American Liberty would put my post in the “Waiting for Approval” line even when using some of their own words and paraphrasing the identical points they made in the article? Stating that some people are clueless and ignorant must somehow be offensive.
They do that with every post, as far as I can tell.
And yet when a thinking person who has seen video evidence of the rampant voter fraud in the 2020 election, says that that election was flawed and stolen, they get shouted down, trashed and canceled by leftists as well as being called “Deplorable” and conspiracy theorists. Given how stupid these people are, I am taking that as a mark of intelligence.
Confirms what we already knew. College educated white women are the stupidest people on the planet. My sister is an executive at Wells Fargo and did 4 years at University of Utah. She’s obviously doing great financially and is generous with her money but she buys into every woke agenda that comes down the pike.
People believe what they want to believe. Some day people will realize that the media only looks out for its best interests, its bottom line. It has always been a purveyor of whatever increases its profit. Hopefully, these people will see the light and recognize reality over fantasy.
Well, as the saying goes” you can’t fix stupid”! What gets me is the “ supposed” college grads who fall for that crap! Guess they were all too busy partying to actually learn anything, and now WE are supposed to pay their student loans! Get a job and pay your own damned student loans, it will give you a better education bieng out in the REAL world, than thriving on conspiracy theories! I used to think people couldn’t possibly be that ignorant, but I have been proven wrong. I worry about the future of our country with people like them voting in demonrats.
With the election of Trump, the media decided that it was no longer their job to report the news. Their job was now to get Trump out of office (and later to prevent him from returning to office). Nothing is off-limits in pursuit of that goal – no lie too big or too outrageous.
