Former Democratic presidential contender and former U.S. representative for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District Tulsi Gabbard has left the Democratic Party, describing its leadership as an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”
Gabbard’s announcement came in a video posted on Twitter. The ex-Democrat ended her statement with an appeal for “independent-minded Democrats” to join her in leaving the Democratic Party.

Gabbard, who represented Hawaii’s second congressional district after serving two combat tours in the Middle East, made the announcement in a video posted to her social media accounts early Tuesday morning.
She also said that Democrats had “demonized police” to the benefit of criminals, promoted open borders, weaponized the national security agencies, and were pushing the U.S. towards a nuclear war.
“Now I believe in a government that’s of the people, by the people, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government that is of, by, and for the powerful elite,” she said.
Her video ended with her asking independent thinkers and others to join her in leaving the Democrat Party.

What took so long??
Tulsi Gabbard is to be commended for her courage and integrity. She is obviously a woman of character and objectivity. She deserves more dignity and honor than the many RINOs who stay in the Republican Party to continue to undermine and destroy it from within. They should go to bed with their real partners in socialist Marxism, the Democrats. Tulsi Gabbard is setting a higher standard that America needs to follow. May God bless and uphold her for being true to her convictions unlike the prostitute RINOs who run as Republicans, but then serve as Democratic Socialist Marxists.

Congratulations Tulsi! You have not been a Democrat for a long time and now you are standing up and telling the world! You are of the Democrat party that I belonged to several years ago. I could no longer respect anything they were doing and changed. It’s harder for you since you were in politics, but now you have taken that step. Make a run as an independent or a Republican and you will go further.
When a democrat becomes a republican, they will bring their left leaning ideas with them. So she doesn’t like the wokeism , but this wokeism has been smoldering for 50 years until now when the Marxist democrats felt like they could (fundamentally change America) and (build back better). The constitution originality was trashed for this time mostly by the democrats. (But not only democrats). She will continue to degrade the USA but back to a slower rate, by over regulation, high taxes and voting for the gov to fix everything when they have never fixed a thing. We have way too many rinos in gov now. She will be just another.

Tulsi Gabbard is a true patriot. I have watched many interviews with her and she is the voice of reason. I couldn’t figure out why she was affiliated with the democrat party. She is a great American!
Tulsi is from Hawaii, a state completely dominated by Dems, so in order to break into politics she had no choice but to run as a Democrat. In the presidential debates she never talked like a Dem but like a conservative. Someone else has already pointed out that she’s too pretty to be a true Democrat. She has been a DINO since she was first elected. I think I might be in love.

She is only jumping horses because it looks good for her future not because she believes in conservativism. She stands with Biden on sending billions to Ukraine to support a Slavic civil war and to promote the money laundering and human trafficking there. She can see an end to the democrat regime in Hawaii and like a rat jumping off a sinking ship is looking for another.
I have always admired her apparent streak of forthright integrity (and that in a DemonCrat!). Now let us be grateful that she is putting her money where her mouth is, and let us hope and pray that this streak of integrity grows stronger and continues.
