Despite Democrat and media attempts to ignore the growing leftist political violence in America — while blindly insisting that the right is more deadly — it’s becoming increasingly difficult to deny reality. The left is now the greatest threat to our democracy.
These killings also show what I have alluded to before, that America is already in a type of low-level civil conflict. Civil war isn’t only a battle between two armies. In this case, it is represented by increasing politically motivated leftist violence.
We can also look at it as a low-level leftist insurrection that if not stopped, will only get far worse.
In the latest example of growing far-left political violence, one migrant detainee was killed, and another was left in critical condition at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas after a leftist gunman opened fire indiscriminately with a rifle from a nearby rooftop. The 29-year-old shooter, who apparently killed himself before police arrived, left rifle rounds with “ANTI-ICE” messages inscribed on them.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said the shooting was “an attack on ICE law enforcement.”
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said he would put all ICE facilities on higher alert to protect agents and civilians carrying out the agency’s mission.
This leftist attack on ICE marks another deadly shooting exactly two weeks to the day since conservative icon, and strong Trump ally, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated on a Utah college campus.
It also comes just a couple of days after a leftist gunman shouting “Free Palestine” killed one person and wounded several others at New Hampshire country club.
No reasonable person can say now that “right-wing violence” is the biggest danger in America, as Joe Biden claimed during his term. (RELATED: The Left’s Lies About Charlie Kirk)
Regarding the attack on the ICE facility, Politico reported:
FBI Director Kash Patel …said in an X post that the initial investigation “shows an ideological motive behind this attack.” He included in the post a picture of unspent shell casings that he said were recovered from the scene, with one appearing to read “ANTI-ICE.” Patel went on to write that the “despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off.”
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted on X that this morning’s “horrendous killings must serve as a wake-up call to the far-left that their rhetoric about ICE has consequences. Comparing ICE Day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences.”
Politico continued:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)… sharply rebuked partisan rhetoric that he said led to today’s shooting. “To every politician who is using rhetoric demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP: stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxxed and calling for people to go after their families: stop. This has very real consequences,” Cruz said.
Vice President JD Vance said that evidence that has not yet been released shows the shooter was a “left-wing extremist” who was “politically motivated to go after people who are enforcing our border.”
In their weak response to the deadly attack on ICE, House Democratic leaders shamelessly noted what they called the “dehumanization of immigrants,” while ignoring their own dehumanization of ICE which is provoking these ongoing murders.
“No one in America should be violently targeted, including our men and women in law enforcement who protect and serve our neighborhoods, and the immigrants who are too often the victims of dehumanizing rhetoric,” the Democrats’ statement said.
They were correct about one thing though, when they added: “The political and ideologically motivated violence in America has reached a breaking point this year.” What they don’t say though is that almost all of this violence now is left-wing.
DHS says ICE officers are facing a more than a 1,000% increase in assaults against them.
Two Texas facilities were targeted this July: a police officer was shot at an ICE detention facility in Alvarado and a gunman opened fire at the entrance of the Border Patrol sector annex in McAllen.
These recent shootings and murders committed by the left are part of a much bigger issue. While some older studies arguably appeared to show “right-wing” violence to be greater in the 1990s, left-wing violence is now the biggest threat. But the Democrat-allied media hasn’t caught up yet. A study to be published this week by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) found that left-wing terrorism has noticeably increased since President Trump’s rise to political prominence in 2016, with 2025 marking the first time in more than three decades that left-wing attacks outnumber those from the far right.
The study notes that, so far in 2025, incidents of left-wing violence have risen while those from the extreme right have plummeted. Left-wing violence includes those motivated by support for environmental causes, Black nationalism, LGBTQ+ rights, war in Gaza, anti-fascist rhetoric or opposition to capitalism.
This year, the researchers said, left-wing incidents are on track to exceed any levels seen in the last 30 years. This is the new reality.
Trump made this reality clear in a post on Truth Social:
This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to ‘Nazis. The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped.

The media MSM remains a significant part of the problem. They give radical people – protesters, politicians, and their own voices to spread hate, fear and discontent. In addition, the Trump Syndrome prevails throughout the media and politicians as well. Do they love America? I think not. They want the power, money, and ability to control any and everyone they disagree with. They have lost their moral compass . We removed God from many elements of our society – school, government, sports, and yes even some of our churches have lost their way. As they think so passively about God’s word that they only use the parts they think meets their beliefs. God’s word is the truth. Jesus has overcome the devil. He is the light, love and the way. The devil and him minions want to continue to destroy that truth. It cannot and will not happen.
