Fauci Poised to Receive Record Federal Retirement Package

-

After directing the (NIAID) for more than 35 years, Dr. is ready to retire. Fauci is already the highest-paid federal employee.

And his retirement pension is expected to pay him nearly $15,000 more than President Biden's $400,000 annual salary.

Adam Andrzejewski, with Open The Books, scrutinized Fauci's salary and estimated $414,667 retirement package, the largest in the federal 's history.

While Fauci has a $480,000 salary, an analysis of pay raises and annuities from years prior predicts he'll make $530,000 by 2024. His final year as a federal employee.

Fauci's salary already surpasses that of roughly 4.3 million federal employees, every general in the U.S. Armed Forces and the president of the United States.

Andrzejewski explained how he arrived at these numbers:

Bureaucrats who have worked in government as long as Fauci are able to retire on the vast majority of their annual earnings. The Office of Personnel Management calculates it by taking 80% of an average of the bureaucrat's three highest-paid years of service, and also letting the worker cash in any unused sick leave. Employees of Fauci's tenure also get an additional 2% annuity payment every year.

Andrzejewski proceeded to look into how Fauci, as the head of a subagency within one government agency, became the highest-paid federal employee.

The origins of Fauci's sky-high government salary reportedly date back to the George W. Bush administration, specifically a 2004 memo dealing with a “permanent pay adjustment” for his biodefense work, or as Andrzejewski called it, “a permanent bonus.”

So, Fauci made more than his boss – NIH Director Francis Collins ($203,500); he outearned Collin's boss, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra ($203,500); and his pay drafted President Joseph R. Biden's pay too ($400,000).

Likening his job to wartime, Fauci told ABC News' Jonathan Karl this of potential retirement:

“You know, we're in a war, Jon. It's kind of like we're halfway through World War II, and you decide, well, I think I've had enough of this. I'm walking away… You can't do that. You've got to finish it — and we're going to finish this and get back to normal.”

By the time he does walk away, at the beginning of 2025, Fauci will be 85 years old and have served in government for a whopping 59 of them.

And he'll make more in retirement pension than 's annual salary.

    • Why not? He earned it fair and square. So he’s entitled to it. I hope he lives for at least another 40 years.

  1. Fauci is a farce, that man sways back and forward just depend which way the subject is headed.Tell me what makes this person retirement worth that much?

  2. So what !!! The way the system is set up, he deserves every penny. As Babe Ruth said when told he makes more money than the President: I am worth more. Don’t begrudge a person what he/she honestly earned during his/her lifetime.

  3. I just feel that the only retirement the tax-payers should pay for him is free room and board for the rest of his life….in Leavenworth!

  4. If you mean by “ earning” it, when did he earn it? Bieng in the position he is in, lying to the people of our country, pushing lockdowns, mandates, forcing people to take the jab, is that what you mean by earning it? NO he hasn’t earned anything other a long incarceration in Leavenworth! That I would agree with!

  5. He might be a MD but he really is a politician of the lowest sort. he is a part of the swamp and it is criminal that he makes so much money. How can he make more than his boss and the President?
