North Carolina House Speaker OK After Vehicle Ramming Incident

-

The General Assembly Police and state highway patrol are investigating collisions involving two prominent North Carolina Republicans.

Another driver repeatedly hit the car transporting House Speaker (R) and state Rep. David Willis as their security team drove them to Raleigh.

A spokesperson for Speaker Moore told reporters the driver rammed them “from behind several times.”

The Daily Wire has more:

“General Assembly police and highway patrol responded and the circumstances are under investigation,” the statement continued. “Thankfully no one in the vehicle was hurt, including Rep. Willis and Speaker Moore.”

Moore represents District 111 and is currently serving his 11th term in the state legislature. Willis represents District 68 and is serving in his second term.

Moore has yet to respond to any request for comment.

  1. Luckily Dems hate guns, or the rammer probably would have opened fire. Democrats—it’s what they do.

    • Do you mean by that, that it’s Democrat liberal, SOCIALIST Communist that are the extremest. Say it ain’t so. I know my CNN, MSDBS, ABC,CBS,NBC, would not stretch the truth and make up
      Lies would they?

  2. Moore said they pursued the car that hit them for about six or seven miles, and the driver eventually slowed down and started to pull over onto the shoulder.

The suspect was then arrested. James Matthew Brogden faces a misdemeanor DWI charge in the incident, according to online court records….

He said they were worried initially that their car was targeted. “I don’t believe that was the case. I think this person, from what I’ve seen, was just so impaired to such an extent that he was just ‘out there,’ and it could have been anybody,” he said.
