The Silence is Deafening, the Darkness is Blinding

-

The “War on Cops” – though ignored by mainstream outlets and the White House – continues to accelerate at a lightning pace. Those who serve and protect are facing rising violence while being abandoned by the political elites.

Eleven hero police officers were killed in the last two weeks and most of those murders were by assassination facilitated through an ambush. Every day, more cops are set up to die at the hands of criminals. The attitude is, “Oh well, another dead cop.”

In the face of such an onslaught, the number of police officers in the U.S., according to the Police Executive Research Forum, has declined by over 4% from 2020 to 2021. We now have more lawyers (1.3 Million) than police officers (688,000) protecting the roughly 332 Million people in the United States. And some of those lawyers are “progressive” prosecutors who are spending more time prosecuting officers than taking down perps.

Is it any wonder that major jurisdictions cannot replace the officers they are losing every day?

Police officers take the job because they want to help, protect and serve. However, when you are working for an employer that doesn't care about you, your safety and your well-being on the job, you lose your faith. Lack of support from your city, state or municipal officials – and federal politicians – is taking its toll.

Cops nationwide have been subjected to increased hate and disdain from those they protect since the George Floyd incident. Police officers have been punished with the continual threat of being defunded, which has taken place in many areas nationwide. The erosion of qualified immunity, due process and other legal protections in many states and municipalities leaves cops vulnerable.

Many groups and organizations have been set up to advance ideas to bring law enforcement and the communities they protect closer together. The strongest and certainly the most powerful should have been the Congressional Law Enforcement Caucus – but something went horribly wrong. The caucus that was created to help cops was, in fact, full of anti-law enforcement legislators. Their goal was to look at the problems facing law enforcement and try to make the job of better; however, most of the caucus members voted to – in lockstep with their fellow leftists. This clearly illustrates that the goal of the caucus never was to help law enforcement but is a cloaked attempt by some members of to undercut our law enforcement.

Due to the contempt and disregard for police, the “War on Cops” rages on – and even more police officers are sure to be killed, making this a record-breaking year of attacks and ambush-style killings targeting our police. Two exceptional police officers from the Bristol, Connecticut Police Department were recently killed in an ambush after being lured to a domestic violence call.

The world has gone mad: justice is no longer blind; she has been corrupted. There is no other explanation. When you have fathers and businessmen being locked up and harassed by the federal for protecting their children from heretical and absurd school agendas. When a former president's home is raided by the FBI. As street vermin are allowed to walk free under catch-and-release – all while cops charged with protecting us are being killed or unjustly prosecuted for doing the job we've given them.

A world of rampant chaos is no longer on the horizon: it is here.

We must act, and replace the leftist members of the Congressional Law Enforcement Caucus. We must seek new political leadership from men and women who will seek to restore order, and stand with our men and women of American law enforcement.

  1. the father-in-law of alex hamzy (one of the bristol officers) gave a great speech at the outsized memorial service condemning the media, pols, anti-police demo and hyper-partisan ideology amongst the citizenry. . .not a single local media outlet ran any of it after the fact. . .imagine that.

    • The loony left is doing it’s best to drive this country towards that second war for independence. When it happens it will tear this country apart, and it will most likely cost the United States of America to cease to exist.

  2. Because of the constant propaganda, blacks believe that Republicans are racist and the police are killing blacks when, in fact, there are more whites than blacks killed by police every year. It doesn’t help that (because of 60 years of Democratic welfare monetizing single parent families) the number of black children born out of wedlock is now approaching 80%! That coupled with an increasingly barely literate (because of Democratic controlled Teachers unions) failing schools in most of our major cities equals a largely under educated, morally deprived population that is easily manipulated. And don’t bother to call me a racist because every single psychological and sociological study ever done says that children from single parent homes are more likely to drop out of school, do drugs, join gangs, commit crimes and end up in prison.

That, not “systemic racism” is the real reason more blacks are arrested and incarcerated. But there is a systemic plan by Democrats to keep blacks on the “Democratic Plantation”. Read Candice Owen’s “Blackout” for a deep dive and historical perspective. Or read Heather MacDonald’s “The War on Cops” or “The Diversity Delusion” for the truth about the lies of Police racism.
