‘The View’ Announces Two New Conservative Co-Hosts

-

On Thursday, “” formally announced and are joining the program as co-hosts. Griffin, who previously served as the Trump administration‘s communications adviser will appear daily while Navarro will join the panel more sporadically.

While announcing the new additions, co-host Whoopi Goldberg touched on the program's goal of honoring Barbara Walters's original vision for the show. “The View” had yet to name a conservative co-host since Meghan McCain's departure last year.

Per Fox News:

“Barbara Walters had this vision for bringing women from totally different backgrounds, lived experiences, careers, to talk about the tough issues that frankly our elected officials often aren't tackling, and we do that every day, and we're having important conversations. I can't say how much I've learned from all of you, and I hope to learn from all of you, and I will say this. The last couple of years have been a bit turbulent for me, you know, you saw it in the preview there,” Farah Griffin said after the announcement, elaborating on her time in the . “It's going to get sporty sometimes, but I adore you women.”

Griffin, who has appeared as a guest on “The View numerous times, previously served under Vice President Mike Pence and the Pentagon. Since her abrupt departure from the administration in 2020, Griffin has become a stark critic of Trump and expressed regret over working for him. Conservatives and liberals alike have openly accused Griffin of shifting her ideals only to appear more acceptable to the .

“When I got to West Wing I saw chaos. Every time I thought about returning to DOD, I couldn't bring myself to. I could kick myself the rest of my life over that decision. But I stayed. After Trump lost and began espousing the election lies, I resigned,” Griffin tweeted.

I haven't stopped using my voice since to condemn his lies & unfitness for office,” she continued. “I remain a conservative who believes in limited federal government & a robust national defense.”

Navarro, another sharp critic of Trump's, is a Republican known for longtime support of Democrat politicians and policies.

“As you all know, most weeks I'm on a plane almost four times a week and I spent countless hours on planes, at airports, in hotels. Sometimes it gets lonely, but I also know it's a huge, enormous, incomparable privilege to be part of a 25-year institution, and whether people like it or not, whether some people acknowledge it or not, it is the relevance and the importance and the platform that ‘The View' represents, and I and we at this table have spent a lot of time, a lot of time talking about representation and saying representation matters,” Navarro said, adding that it was an opportunity she had to grab with “both hands.”

The new deal between the two Republicans and “The View” comes on the heels of a disagreement between veteran co-host Joy Behar and Griffin after Behar compared individuals who are now turning on Trump to “recovering addicts.”

“These people who are now all, like, recovering addicts — recovering addicts in the Trump world that come on, even on this show. They come on this show, and they go on other shows and they're suddenly turning on Trump,” she said.

Griffin seemed to reference Behar's pointed remark during an appearance last month.

“There are people who think that people like me, people like Stephanie Grisham, people like Olivia Troye, don't deserve to have a voice because we worked for . I reject that. We are telling the truth now, we are telling it authentically, we are acknowledging what we did wrong, and I am grateful to those women and I stand with them, I stand with Cassidy Hutchinson. You know what, we all make mistakes, but I am glad these women are using their voice,” she said.

Last month, The Daily Beast reported that comic Wanda Sykes canceled an appearance on “The View” after she found out Farah Griffin would be hosting that day.

“She didn't want to be part of helping a Trumper launder her reputation,” a source shared.

  1. THEY HAD TO MAKE SOME CHANGES SO MUCH BS ON THAT SET EVEN THE EXTRA FANS DID NOT HELP WITH THE STINK.

  2. Conservatives or Merely Right-Leaning Liberals?

The same question for bulk of those who claim to be conservatives, whether Republicans, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, etc.

“In politics, everything revolves around the positioning of right, left, and center. You’re either rightwing, leftwing, or a centrist. Politicians and non-politicians alike employ all three terms as if there’s a consensus on the parameters for those designations. Even if this were true, who gets to determine what’s right, left, and center, and how are those determinations made? Over time, the parameters shift (always further to the left), so how is someone on the right to know he’s now a centrist or a centrist to know he’s now on the left?…

“There are no answers to these questions because there is no standard for these terms. The terms are completely arbitrary, defined at any given time by finite man and his fickle ethics rather than by Yahweh1 and His immutable morals….

“Isaiah 33:22 and James 4:12 declare that Yahweh is the exclusive legislator. There are no others, period! Anyone who claims the title of legislator (particularly when his “laws”—whether commandments, statutes, or judgments—are inconsonant with Yahweh’s) is a usurper and is perpetuating the sin begun by Adam and Eve. The same is true for any one of us who would modify Yahweh’s triune law….

“Yahweh is the only lawgiver because as Creator He’s the only one with the authority to determine what is good and evil. His morals as codified in His commandments, statutes, and judgments determine what is right and left. Anything left of His right(eousness) is left, liberal, and ungodly…”

  3. Never heard of this show (I wish)…they’re calling Griffin a Conservative…gimme a break!

  4. Please don’t insult our intelligence by calling these two “conservatives”! They may be registered Republicans but no way are they conservative.

  5. If the View really wants to be fair, why not hire the same amount of conservative hosts, as liberal hosts? Obviously with 4 against 2, there will still be a great deal of ganging up on conservative thought. They could then hire real conservatives not red shills!

    • “Liberal”? hosts. Go to a dictionary PRINTED before 1990, and look up that word. “The View” is full of self-aggrandizing psuedo-intellects. Whoopi is abysmally anti-right and vulgar , and biased to the nth degree . She should have stayed on Star Trek . The others? Well , if it weren’t for Soros backing THAT T.V. station , “The View” would be in Garth’s garage and this show would be at Midnight, or they would be on welfare.

  6. huh–a new sub-category–crino–conservative republicans in name only. . .nah–still the same old beltway kiss-arses looking for a payday.

  7. “conservatives?” HARDLY! Navarro is a full-blown hag ala Joyless nad the other is a RINO with TDS!

  8. Hah! Conservative my arse! None of those hags on that show deserve the time of day! The view should be cancelled, the lying “ hosts” fired, and the entire set sanitized to remove all the b.s. they spew. That is one of the worst shows on tv, next to Colbert, and the rest of the late night demo flunkies blabbing their commie rhetoric! The networks carrying those shows should be shut down!

  9. Navarro’s a RINO and Never Trumper and Griffin obviously is not a team player. It seems that when things get a little rough going, she wants to cut and run.

  10. These two probably won’t be able to get in a full sentence before one of the liberals cut them off.
