-

Georgia Congresswoman (R) told Thursday night that she plans to introduce a resolution to audit U.S. aid to .

As The Hill reports:

“It's going to force to give the American people an audit,” Greene said in an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday. “And that is exactly what the American people need, an audit of Ukraine because we have no idea where all this money's going.”

Greene said she plans to introduce a resolution of inquiry in the House on Friday, which is also the one-year anniversary of 's invasion of Ukraine. A resolution of inquiry is a method for the House to request information from the executive branch.

Greene introduced a proposal to audit U.S. military and economic aid to Ukraine in December 2022, which received support from mainstream .

The measure failed on a party-line vote before the , with Democrats — who still controlled the committee at the time — united in their opposition.

Then-Chairman , D-N.Y., said the measure risked sending Ukraine the message that U.S. support for the war-torn country was in question.

A Fox News poll shows half of Americans want the U.S. to support Ukraine for “as long as it takes” to win.

Fox noted that the survey showed that Americans hold a much more favorable view of Ukrainian President 's handling of the war compared to U.S. President :

The survey, released Thursday, asks what the timeframe should be for U.S. support in Ukraine: 50% think it should continue until Ukraine wins, while 46% think it should be time limited.

Democrats (66%) favor sticking with Ukraine until it's victorious, while Republicans (61%) opt for a time limit on U.S. support. Independents split: 49% set limit vs. 45% as long as it takes.

On Monday, in the middle of the survey's interviewing period, President Biden made a surprise visit to Kyiv stating the U.S. would support Ukraine for “as long as it takes.”  Biden also announced an additional half-billion dollars in assistance which will include artillery ammunition, anti-armor systems, and air surveillance radars.

January Fox News survey found that two-thirds favored the U.S. continuing to support Ukraine both by sending weapons supplies and providing funding. Majorities of Democrats, Republicans, and independents agreed on lending help in both ways.

  1. The amount of money going to Ukraine should be accounted for because after all it the money of every tax paying citizen of this nation. By knowing who is the chief in providing the dollars and the track record that has been exposed, stick hands Joe will siphon some of those dollars to his favorite Charity and a few special ultra rich Ukrainians.
MTG is not popular in the House, but she spot on in this case. We are sending money to foreign government and won’t send FEMA to an American town who just suffered a tragic event, and it’s not over yet. We are giving money away when we could be doing more for Americans in the inner cities and get them better schools and jobs.
Time to replace DC or as MTG divorced from the Democrat controls.

  2. How asinine of a congressman – it’s his job to worry about what Citizens think not: Then-Chairman Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., said the measure risked sending Ukraine the message that U.S. support for the war-torn country was in question. If I give or loan you $$$ – massive amounts of my taxpayers $$ – you damn well better tell me where it’s being used. This is also what’s wrong with our Foreign Aid that seldom helps the people.
