US Billionaire Building Super ‘Doomsday’ Bunker On Pacific Island

-

ANALYSIS – Should we worry? As the world increasingly goes to hell in a handbasket, regional conflicts proliferate, natural disasters ramp up and political polarization skyrockets, billionaires may be the ultimate “.”

And building nuclear bomb-proof bunkers is key to post-apocalyptic survival.

Do they have inside intel that we mere mortals don't? Or are they spending hundreds of millions each just as a precaution and maybe as a status symbol? (RELATED: Liberal Billionaire Falls Victim To Dangerous New Trend)

Elaborate and expensive “doomsday bunkers” are apparently the latest power flex for billionaires. There are even companies selling multimillion-dollar condos inside these bunkers.

Or maybe these tycoons are just running out of things to buy.

Well, whatever the reason, they are increasingly building lavish and expensive “doomsday” bunkers on remote pieces of land. Some are also creating a sustainable environment to grow food and produce other long-term necessities.

Among these mega-rich doomsday preppers is , founder of Facebook and head of the mega Big Tech firm Meta. He is planning to build a massive compound in Hawaii that will cost at least $260 million. (RELATED: Facebook Suspends Popular RIght-Wing Account)

The bunker will be part of a compound that will accommodate farming as well as office spaces.

According to the website ‘supercarblondie,' “Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan purchased an abandoned sugar plantation on Kauai, Hawaii's oldest island, back in 2021.”

The property reportedly covers 110 acres but rather than building himself yet another mansion, Zuckerberg wants to build a sophisticated, well-stocked bunker.

The “bunker will be made of metal and ‘filled in with concrete' to soundproof it, and it'll be entirely self-sustainable,” according to news reports.

Zuckerberg already spends quite a bit of cash on personal security and private jets, so this may be part of his security and survival plan in case of global catastrophe. (RELATED: Missiles Destroy Ship Carrying Lethal Cargo)

But that's not all, Alessandro Renesis notes that:

The compound will also incorporate at least a dozen buildings, with 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms in total, a main mansion, office space and conference rooms, and “an industrial-sized” kitchen.

It'll also feature pools, gyms, a sauna, and a tennis court. There'll be a treehouse and rope bridges, too.

But as impressive as this sounds, there are some custom-built super doomsday bunkers out there that may be even more grandiose. Here is one in :

Supercarblondies reports separately that one luxury doomsday bunker uses a converted nuclear missile silo to protect its uber wealthy inhabitants.

In an undisclosed location in Kansas, this 54,000-square-foot, 15-story building is the ultimate underground bunker.

The first indication that this is a zombie apocalypse-style bunker is the main door, which weighs over 50 tons and is blast-proof.

The bunker was first built during the Cold War and it is designed to withstand a direct nuclear missile hit.

It is designed to supply shelter and food for up 75 people, and for up to five years.

Most of the fourteen available living units in the silo complex are already sold. Prices range from $500,000 for hotel room-sized space to $3 million for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that takes up an entire floor.

Ok, well, how much of a deposit do they require? I may be interested.
